Izebella has recently been sent a new toy to try out. The Quercetti FantaColor Junior was sent to Izebella by Educational toys.
It is made in Italy (hence the long name) and is a fun transparent peg board.

8 pattern cards are included such as a butterfly, worm, fish and doll. The cards are then places under the transparent peg board. Izebella can then place the pegs in the board to make her mosaic.

Once she gets more used to it she will also beable to make her own patterns without the cards.
The pegs are a good big size, so I don’t have to worry about her putting them in her mouth.

The board helps with colour learning and colour matching. Each time Izebella picks a peg up, I tell her what colour it is. Sometimes she matches the colours and other times she just places the pegs where she wants.

Once she finishes her mosaic. She claps at herself and asks for another one.

The toy develops hand to eye co ordination, fine motor skills and encourages creative thinking.
Izebella will happily sit and make mosaics for ten minutes or so. She seems to have grown out of many of her other toys (or got bored of them) so it is nice to see her playing and concentrating on something other than Peppa Pig.

The toy is recommended for children two years and over so I wasn’t too sure if it was something she would beable to do. She is only 19 months and manages the peg board easily.
When not in use the toy collapses as a carry case for easy storage.
FantaColor Junior does not need batteries and makes a lovely brightly coloured educational toy.
It can be purchased for £24.99 at Educational toys
