Chewie Gum Campaign and Giveaway CLOSED; WINNER – Helen Wakeley

Chewie with sweets
Half term is upon us yet again and Chewits have launched a brand new bubble gum brand called Chewits Chewie Gum.
photo 1The gum comes in three exciting new flavours – Lemon, Strawberry&Banana and Tropical. Designed for kids aged 8-11 years for kids on the move and sharing this gum tastes delicious and provides a nice treat.
Now I don’t believe in filling kids with sweets but I don’t think the odd treat now and then harms anyone and always make sure my kids brush teeth after sweets.
We were sent two large boxes of chewie gum. Both boxes containing twelve individual packs of gum, four of each flavour per box.

The chewie gum is being enjoyed by Ryan who also shares with hs friends, he enjoys the fruity flavours with Strawberry & Banana being favourite.
Chewits recently surveyed parents and asked for cost saving tips through half term they developed this cool info-graphic providing a few half term tips and info.

If you go to the cinema at half-term make sure that you take your own food and drink in with you, it saves a fortune. I make my own popcorn to take and put it in individual tubs!

Always take plenty of snacks and drinks with you, especially if you have young children. Buying food and drink when you are out costs the earth. Also take a bag with a few toys and books, my Best tip though is to take “blow bubbles”….everyone loves bubbles.

Followed you and everything! Great comp! Really excited about this; the kids would love it! A great money saving tip for the half term, would be if you are planning on going on holiday, always ask for deals. Have saved over 50% in the past just for asking for a last minute deal on hotels/holiday homes. Also, there are loads of great free museums in London, really involves and excites the kids 🙂

  19. May 25, 2013 / 19:55

I don’t think you have to pay lots of money to go into places. Sometimes simple things like going swimming can be great fun.

    May 25, 2013 / 20:39

All done – my tip would be to make the most of your surroundings – go for a walk and have a picnic, feed the ducks, maybe go for a bus ride which is alot cheaper than a huge day out at a childrens play area, go for a nature walk and pick out things you can use to make a picture at home 🙂

If you’re going anywhere that requires an entry fee, check their website and Facebook and Twitter pages, plus money saving websites for discount vouchers and if that fails try ebay where people often sell tickets at a massive discount. If appropriate bring your own food and drink.

my tip: today was a rainy miserable day outside but we had lot of fun inside. We baked cookies and whilst cooling, made a den in the sitting room, we had a jam butty picnic (homemade bread – cheated and made in the bread machine), fruit and yoghurt and of course the cookies which where a bribe to make sure that kids ate their lunch. Then the kid made a bed in the den and i read our book of the week – George’s marvelous medicine. Money that i would have spent has gone in the pot for a day out when the weather i better.
