Set high up in the hills of the Devon/Cornwall border you will find the farm belonging to Wilfred Emmanuel Jones: founder of the Black Farmer sausages.
Wilfred like many men loves the traditional English breakfast but soon became aware of the poor quality sausages we find in many supermarkets. He therefore set about to create a much better tasting sausage using better ingredients and in 2004 the Black Farmer range started.
The sausages contain 100% British pork and soya flour ensuring that those with gluten and wheat allergies can also enjoy the sausages.
I was sent some Premium Pork Sausage and Black Farmers Daughter Chipolatas. (Wilfreds daughter also creates her own ranges)
. The sausages can be fried, grilled, oven cooked or barbecued and are both bursting with flavours. My kids especially liked the chipolatas and ate them very quickly. Even little baby Izebella enjoyed eating them mashed up with some potato. The premium pork sausages were very thick and also full of flavour would be great on a nice cooked breakfast or summers day barbecue.
Must try the chipolatas for those summer BBQs.
I didn’t realise these were gluten free
