. We were asked to review some star cookie cutters which are available to buy from Cargo. Jordanna loves baking cakes and biscuits and so was eager to make some when they arrived.
There are five cookie cutters in the pack with each one being a different size. They are very bright and colourful with each one having a different funky colour and they fit inside each other when not in use.
. We made some chocolate chip star cookies using a basic recipe we found online. The cookie mixture included flour, castor sugar, egg, butter, vanilla extract, chocolate chips and we added some maple syrup too.
Once the mixture was prepared and ingredients blended together it was time to shape and roll out and start making it into stars.
. The cookie cutters are very easy to use. They are made from tough plastic and have no sharp edges making them safe for young hands.
. Jordanna really enjoyed this bit and we got quite a few different sized cookies out of our mixture. Then it was time to bake them.
. You can make cookies very thick or thin using these cutters and I think they would be perfect for star cakes too. These would make a great addition to a Halloween party and of course Christmas star biscuits always look lovely with icing on top.
The cookies turned out pretty well considering Jordanna did most of them.
and Ryan just helped her eat them- very cheeky isnt he?
The cookie cutters cost just £4.00 and come in other shapes too and can be co-ordinated with other accessories in the colourworks range at Cargo
