Almost a year old

It’s hard to believe but my blog will be a year old on April 1st.
This time last year I had the idea in my head to start a blog. I just wanted a hobby and something to do with my spare time.
So I browsed around for blogging platforms and eventually settled on wordpress. It had a few features I liked and seemed easy enough. It took me a week or so to navigate everything and then I posted. I can’t quite remember what I put as I have edited it numerous times since but it was an introduction about me and my kids. Nothing much really.
I never expected anyone to read it or get many visitors. I shared the blog link between friends and was pleasantly surprised to get over 2000 visitors in my first month alone. That figure I’m happy to say is now around the 80000 mark and my next target being 100000.
I am so happy I started blogging. I have had the pleasure of being sent lots of lovely goodies to review as well as making lots of competition winners very happy and also shared some stories. I hope to continue doing what I do and get many more followers. My big aim for the new blog year would be to attend more blogger type events and maybe meet up with other fellow bloggers.
