Ginger delights from Handmade Treats

I absolutely love Handmade Treats they are an online pantry based in Buckinghamshire. I have reviewed some of their lovely products previously, including a selection of sauces and delicious Christmas Puddings.
This time round I received some Buderim ginger goodies.
Buderim Ginger is a successful Australian business producing one of the worlds finest ginger products.

Ginger has a strong unique taste which probably is not to everyone’s liking. I do like ginger products. I enjoy ginger beer every now and again and adored ginger creams as a child. These products are very different to anything I have tried before, as they are actually ginger sweets. Yes that right “sweets” I would never have imagined you could get ginger sweets.

Buderim Ginger Bons

These little treats come individually wrapped. They are like little chewy sweets with the spicy and sweet zings of ginger flavours. When I first bit into one I was hit by the full burst of ginger spice, it was slightly over powering but as I chewed the sweet a little more, I found the sweetness came out. They are rather tasty once you get used to them. They only cost £1.75 a bag too, so certainly worth a try.

Buderim ginger bears

The bears remind me of jelly sweets I used to eat as a child but with a very different flavour. I should add that all the ginger products are low in fat, thus making us feel less guilty for eating them. £2.05 per bag.

Buderim Naked Ginger

The ginger pieces in this packet come without the crystallised coating. Making it more pure and natural. This is great for both baking, snacking or adding to cereals. £3.50 per bag

Ginger has so many benefits which I didn’t realise until I was sent these products, along with some useful information alongside them. Ginger is packed full of great nutrients such as Magnesium, Potassium, Vitamin B6, Copper, Manganese & Antioxidants. Ginger has many medicinal properties including headache, cold, flu and sickness prevention. It is a powerful Antioxidant which help to prevent all kinds of diseases. Ginger has powerful anti inflammatory properties and is even known to help with menstrual cramps too. There is research which proves that ginger treatments may help with certain Cancer types and recovery.
