I remember when I was a little girl, how I used to love the colour pink and big frilly skirts and dresses. I still do now. I know if I ever got married that my dress would have to be huge like something out of a fairytale.
Now I have two girls of my own (and one boy of course). They too seem to love frilly clothes and pink. Even Izebella at just 18 months loves her dresses. Jordanna loves dressing up, both fancy dress and getting dressed up for parties and discos. She has lots of frilly dresses and nice things and loves getting new clothes (typical little miss)
I came across a company, quite rightly named Dresses for Gorgeous Girls if you head over to their website and land on the home page you will see why they are called their name. They sell gorgeous dresses for gorgeous girls. They specialise in dresses and skirts for that special occasion, be it a wedding, flower girl/ bridesmaid, christening, communion or a party. If your little girl needs a special dress then this sure is the place to look.
One of their more unusual items is the Little Bo Peep Pettiskirt. The Pettiskirts are made especially for Dresses for Gorgeous Girls meaning no one else sells the same brand. The Pettiskirts come in several colours including a great selection of both pink and purple shades, greys, lemon, burgundy and many others. The sizes start from baby 0-2 years going right up to teenage sizes(depending on colour)
The skirts are made from yards of soft chiffon and are just beautiful.
Jordanna received a Pettiskirt in dusky pink. I thought Jordanna would get far more use of one than Izebella and she absolutely loves it too.
The skirt has 3 layers in total but actually feels like a lot more. The layers are huge and the skirt is very full and fabulous. The skirts have a ribbon bow and the front and an elasticated waist which fits around Jordanna just perfectly.
I can see why they are called Bo Peep Pettiskirts I can just picture Bo Peep in the nursery rhyme in one of these. It also reminds me of the huge 1960s rock n roll skirts too.
Well I may be a little biased but I think she looks so cute in this skirt. She loves it and couldn’t stop twirling and spinning with it.
It’s quite effective when she twirls around with it on. Almost like a ballerina.
This is the sort of garment I used to dream about having when I was younger. I think back then something such as this would of been very expensive. These gorgeous skirts cost £32.99 and there are a few on offer for much less at the moment. All the Pettiskirts can be seen here
I realise it’s not something that Jordanna can wear all the time for normal everyday wear. We do have a few things coming up soon such a christening. Plus there are always parties and school discos throughout the year. The Pettiskirt fits her really well and with room to grow. I got the size 6-8 years and she will be 7 in July. Once she grows out of it, I will keep it for a Izebella.
The skirt;being beautiful, is slightly delicate, so obviously it’s important to take good care of them. They come in their own carry sacs which I thought was a rather lovely addition and somewhere to keep it safe when not in use.
The washing label states it can be hand or machine washed at 30C. I am a little wary about machine washing it, just incase the skirt layers get damaged and so will probably stick to hand washing as and when I need to.
The skirts go with most tops. Jordanna is just wearing an everyday floral pink top with the skirt which she already had in her wardrobe.
Gorgeous, perfect for twirling! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
Hi Eve, we are so pleased that Jordanna loved her Little Bo Peep Pettiskirt and she looks gorgeous. I just wanted to say that you can pop them into the washing machine on a cool wash and it comes out looking better than it went in! Thanks for the wonderful review!
