My hair is now very long and despite constantly dying, colouring, bleaching and hear styling it remains in a fairly healthy condition. Having long hair in hot weather can make me feel very sweaty so I find it’s a good idea to put my hair up and out of my face, off my neck. I get bored of just putting it in a bobble so it’s always nice to be using some different hair accessories and experimenting.
Stone Bridge sell many beautiful accessories for hair. These include several claws, clamps bands, elastics and clips. The products are all very high end and very stylish.
Another great thing about Stonebridge is that if you are looking for some new stylish hair accessories but don’t know what to buy then they even provide a short online consultation by way of asking a few simple questions about your hair. Once submitted they will email with recommended products. This would also be a good service when purchasing a hair accessory as a gift for someone else.
Stonebridge kindly offered to send me one of their products. I had no idea what I would be sent but I told them a little about my hair, that it’s long and coloured and medium thickness.
The product I received is a rather pretty medium Monceau Clip.
These clips are handmade in France. The clip is very shiny and the design is cutwork scrolls throughout which allow the hair to show through. It’s quite an eye catching piece to look at and does come with a fairly hefty price tag of £62.00. Yes it is expensive but I think the price reflects the fact that they are handmade and quite a unique design.
They are available in several colour options. Mine is in silver shell which works well with my hair colour and skin tone.
The clip also comes in a larger version.
This claw clip has a very large opening. The teeth clasp together very securely to hold in even the most difficult styles. The clip can be used daily for simply tying hair up. It also makes a lovely accessory for a night out as they go well with most outfits. I managed to get a picture of it in my hair. I twisted my hair up and put the clip in to hold it. It holds really well and does not dig into my head at any point. It would easily hold my hair up for hours, if not all day without the style coming loose.
