Izebella had been sent over a beautiful nightdress from the Powell Craft collection. This I think is her first actual nightdress as she is more used to pyjamas and onesies so it makes a lovely change.
It’s very pretty with lots of girly detail. This particular nightdress is the “Birdcage Nightdress” and priced at £26.00.
It reminds me a lot of some of the nightdresses I had when younger and my mother even commented that she too wore nightdresses like this when she was a little a girl (going back several years there mother!!)
It definitely had a very traditional and perhaps even old fashioned feel to it which I absolutely love. It’s very hard to find nightwear like this in everyday high street shops.
The nightdress is pink and white design the picture shoes a bird and a hanging bird house which looks a little like a Christmas decoration. Pink Lace trim lines the bottom and buttons fasten the nightdress around the collar. There is much pretty detail to be seen on this.
Izebella has the size 2/3 years and it’s quite long on her which I believe was the case with the Victorian style nightdresses. They were made much longer back then presumably to keep warmer maybe, so it is long but not so long that she’s tripping over it.
It’s a lovely nightdress and I do believe she could even get away with wearing it as a pretty dress too.
