Ritz are probably best known for their cheese biscuits and crackers which have been around for years, probably before I was born.
They have recently introduced a new type of snack called “Crisp and Thin”
The Crisp and Thin combine crackers with crisps in both single and share pouches and in a variety of 4 flavours. Salt & Vinegar, Sea salt & Black pepper, Cheese & Onion and my overall favourite which is Sweet red chilli. I was happy to receive all the flavours to sample and different size bags too.
These thins aren’t quite crisps and aren’t quite crackers either but something inbetween. Thicker than the average crisp yet much thinner than a cracker and all full of flavour.
They can be eaten alone as a snack or used with dips and putting them on a sandwich also tastes pretty good.
Here is old idea I was sent over for a tasty Smoky Lemon Yoghurt dip for use with the Ritz crisp and thin.
500g Total Yoghurt
1½ tbsp Smoked Paprika
1½ tbsp Sumac
4tbsp Good quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil (and some extra for presentation)
1 Garlic clove
1 Lemon (juice and zest)
seeds of ½ a pomegranate
Instructions
In a bowl stir together all the ingredients, minus the pomegranate
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and scattering of pomegranate seeds
The ritz crisp and thin can be found in most supermarkets.
