I was asked to take part in making a very easy potato dish using the “Crisp ‘n dry” oil.
Full details of this recipe can be viewed here. It’s so easy that even a teenager could make these. All I needed to do was peel some Maris Piper potatoes, boil for a few minutes then roast in the crisp n dry oil with a little flour. Here is the full method.
Put the Crisp ‘n Dry cooking oil in a roasting tin and place in the oven to heat.
Put the potatoes in a large pan and cover with water.
Add 1 tsp of salt and bring to the boil — cook for 5 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and give a little shake.
Coat in flour and then turn into the oil.
Cook for 20-30 minutes until very crispy.
These are my rather crunchy potatoes which I then served with some chicken, onion rings and gravy over the weekend. Makes a lovely alternative to chips, and I bet they will be great on Xmas dinner.
