Dork Diaries is back again on book shelves and stores throughout the UK. The latest installment in the book series was released just a few weeks ago.
The books are aimed towards girls aged 9 and over. Jordanna has been reading Dork Diary books since she was just 7 and already has a nice collection of them.

Get ready for Dork Diarieswith a twist as MacKenzie takes over and tells all about her GLAMFABULOUS life! What does the queen bee really think about Nikki and her dorky friends? The brand NEW instalment from the internationally bestselling Dork Diaries series, now with 13 million copies in print worldwide! Perfect for fans of Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates, Jacqueline Wilson and James Patterson.
All of the Dork Diary installment come scripted in diary form. The diary being wrote by main character Nikki, who shares her thoughts, feelings, struggles and adventures throughout.
The Drama Queen installment starts off being wrote by Nikki and then by Mackenzie after she steals the diary. The change is easily noticed by change of txt font and Nikkis txt being bolder than Mackenzies. Once Nikki gets the diary back, the txt once again changes to reflect this.
There are a few images throughout the book in sketched cartoon form. I think these are meant to be the book characters doodles.
I have not read the whole book myself but Jordanna will. I have had a good browse through it and it’s more than suitable for an 8 year old.
About the Author
Rachel Renee Russell is a lawyer who prefers writing children’s books to legal briefs (mainly because books are a lot more fun and pyjamas and bunny slippers aren’t allowed in court). She is currently the 8th biggest children’s author with 20 million dork diary books worldwide. Over 1 million dork diary books have sold in the UK alone.
Dork Diaries even has its own fun website full of news and competitons. http://dorkdiaries.co.uk
