Beauty treats for me: Marula

Today’s selection of pamper treats come from Marula UK. Marula is not just the company name but also the main ingredient contained in all their products – Marula oil. Marula oil comes from the Marula fruit which is grown in Africa and harvested mainly by African women. The nuts get hand cracked and the purest kernels cold pressed to release the Marula “natural” oils.
Marula oil is known to contain many antioxidants and omega acids. The benefits include hydration, rejuvenation, and anti aging. As well as a daily facial treatment the Marula oil can even be used as a make up primer, and help with distressed skin and sunburn.

This is the Pure Marula facial oil. There are other facial and skin products available including the lotions and a cleanser but this is the pure oil. It can be used alone or mixed with usual moisturizers of face creams.
The bottle itself is really appealing, dark and mysterious and leaves one wondering what’s inside. It’s a glass bottle with a pippette dropper applicator and just the sort of product you would expect to find in a high end store.
I tend to use the oil, with or after applying moisturizer. It seems good stuff so far, smooths on nicely and is non greasy. It does cost £37.50 but only a tiny amount is required due to it being an oil type product.
As well as skin products, Marula oil is also used in hair products just like this one.

As well as containing marula oil the deep moisture hair mask also contains keratin, wheat protein and pro vitamin b5 all which help to condition, smooth, moisturise and lock in colour.
It’s a lovely product to use after the regular shampoo and condition. It helps to make my hair less dry and frizzy. After rinsing it off I will apply a tiny bit more to my hair and leave this on to dry. My hair certainly feels more manageable after using this product.

The deep hair conditioning mask costs £24.00. I can’t be sure how many uses I’ll get from this one product and although good I do feel it is fairly pricey.
