David Charles children’s wear are designers of luxury girls dresses and accessories. They have been making dresses for tiny princesses since 1970 and have even designed dresses for some real life princesses too – being Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, and the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco. Along with a fair few celebrity children including Madonnas daughter Lourdes.
Not surprisingly, I felt very privalaged choosing a dress each for both my little princesses too.
David Charles offer two dress collections. Their sophisticated designer dresses for ages 2-6 years and David Charles designer dresses by Gail Ingram ages 2-12 years. All the dresses are made with special occasions in mind, so weddings, christenings, parties, special days etc. These are what I would call high end mini ball gowns, which is reflected in the price. Therefore certainly not just a pretty dress for everyday wear.
Izebella’ dress is from the 2-6 year collection. It is named the Pink and blue flower power dress.
And here she is, proudly wearing her very special dress.
It is an absolute stunner of a gown. We went away so I let her wear it for the evening parties. I had many people telling me how lovely it was. It is made with 100% polyester and feels a lot different to other dresses. Very smooth and silky. On the back is a large bow which is also a clip fastener that fastens over the zipper.
The floral design is very bold with lots of pink and light blue. Perfect Summer colours.
This dress is so pretty. Izebella is wearing her white sandals here but most party shoes would be fine with this dress and a pink hair bow or band seems to finish the look off perfectly.
Izebella absolutely loves her dress and loves the flary twirly skirt too.
This dress is currently on sale at £149, reduced from £229.
Jordanna also chose a dress. This time from the slightly older 6-12 years section. She chose the Black and pink premium party dress.
This dress is slightly more expensive, currently costing £275 which is the reduced price from £319. With Jordanna being 10 (tomorrow) it means next year will be school prom time along with other parties here and there. This dress is one that would stand out at any prom, it is beautiful and very unique too. It is also ever so slightly big on her, hence why the waistline may look a bit on the low side, so I am hoping that it fits her perfectly this time next year. Being a little large does not stop her wearing it now too as she was very eager to put it on and show it off.
Just like Izebellas dress, this one also has a concealed zip at the back which is hidden by a big bow.
This Stylised flower and leaf motif keeps this look fresh for parties and proms, while pink pearl drops embellish the waistline perfectly . The back is V-shape cut-out with black satin bow detail.
Two beautiful dresses for two beautiful princesses!
And yes, these dresses may be designer but they are still fine to party the night away in, as demonstrated here by my 4 year old.
