Humans v Computers by Gojko Adzic

It’s not often I review books myself, sure I have featured a fair few books for kids but not so many for adults. The reason for this is that they can be hard to write about, not much to photograph and just my opinions on what’s already wrote. An overview of any book can usually be read on the back cover too.
This one however is one that I just had to write about. It’s non fiction, and I would describe it as a catalogue of both human and computer errors and mishaps throughout the years.
These short stories include lottery malfunctions, names that computers cannot recognise (Null being a famous one) and huge fines and car tickets that should not have been issued. There is plenty more than just that to read about but I won’t give too much away.
I’m almost half way through the book and am not bored by it yet. I read bits before I go to bed most nights. Some of it laughable, some down right shocking but it’s a good addictive read and the stories are all true too. Yes I googled a few!
To make the book a little more fun and appealing; the author – Gojko Adzic added colourful images throughout. The back of the book contains checklists and a fair few useful facts and tips to prevent us being caught out by computer glitches.
This book proves that neither computers or people are perfect and how easy big mistakes occur.
Buy for Just £9.99 from Amazon and most good book stores. I promise you will not be disappointed with this book and won’t want to put it down.
