Skin care Treats from Harley street

Published January 16, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Harley street is famous for their cosmetic surgery treatments and seems to be the place where the celebrity’s go. Of course not everyone can afford cosmetic treatments but it just so happens that they also sell a range of more affordable skin care products.

This is a Try me “Stemcellutions” kit. It contains four smaller versions of Harley st ageless beauty products and it retails around £60.00. Of course products from a place such as Harley St are never going to have high street price tags.

There are four different products in my kit, all of which do different things to benefit my skin. These include a restorative miracle serum, hydro moisturiser, renewal lotion and a pore minimising mask, all of which come in a see through cosmetics pouch. Each bottle contains 15ml of product which is about half of most foundation bottles.

Stemcellutions products are packed with proven anti-aging products such as peptides, pentapeptides, fruit stem cells and anti-oxidants. It’s a much cheaper alternative to surgery to keep signs of ageing at bay.

Yes I have some very envious friends after receiving and showing off my kit.

Luscious lips with Modestrove

Published January 15, 2018 by Bizzimummy

I love my make up bits, I recently had a sort out and was quite shocked at how much stuff I got rid off that was lurking at the bottom of my make up case. It’s fine tho because last week I got this little package in the post.

A lovely little beautifully wrapped box from ModeStrove London. Inside the box – all these lovely matte lipsticks.

Each one came in it’s very own floral box. Lots of luscious vibrant pink colours here which I absolutely love. The four colours are – strawberry sizzle, Miami rose, cocoa colada and my favourite one – bloody latte. These are all part of the “sail with a kiss” range.

Not only do they make my lips full of vibrant colour but they also all come strawberry scented meaning none of that horrible usual lipstick taste on my lips.

Apply them with the included dip brush just as you would lip gloss. I found as these are matte as opposed to gloss, the colour seems to stay on a little longer. Each one costs £12.00

Modestrove beauty products are made with organic ingredients and are not tested on animals.

All four colours can be purchased directly fron Modestrove London.

Curbing the sweet cravings with Slissie

Published January 10, 2018 by Bizzimummy

One of my New Year resolutions was to lose weight and tone up and in particular get rid of my c-section tummy bulge. So I’ve got back into the gym and totally changed my diet to a more healthy one. But! As with most diets there’s that one problem – the sweet cravings, which is made a little more difficult with 3 children in the house and a cupboard full of chocolates and biscuits.

This is where this little device comes in!

On the outset it kind of looks like a small vaping device and it does work in similar ways. It goes in the mouth and it gets sucked on.

The Slissie device pairs with Slissie tanks which come in a variety of sweet flavours such as chocolate, ginger, banana. These tanks slot inside the device. The device charges via a USB cable. When sucked the device gives a strong blast and taste of sweet flavours which tricks our brains and bodies into thinking our cravings have been taken care of.

After a few weeks of using this device I am now eating much healthier than pre new year, and the cravings, tho still there sometimes have lessened. It’s a good device to use in aiding dieting or any sort of weight loss.

Inhaling the aromas does take a little practice and getting used to. There are a fair few flavours to choose from too. Slissie starter pack costs £29.99 and can be purchased over on the Slissie website.

Yogisac by YogaBellies

Published January 8, 2018 by Bizzimummy

It’s the start of a brand new year and the time when many people start considering their Summer bodies and how to get in shape.

YogaBellies is an award winning brand that’s all about fitness and the female form, yoga of course. Their yogisac appeared on Dragons den and has also been featured in many magazines.

Yogisac is not a fitness item as such, but more a big comfortable bag to keep everything us ladies need inside to help get us fit.

The bag opens up really wide, so it would also double up as a weekend travel bag because there is just so much space inside.

It’s designed to easily store a roll out yoga mat, along with clothes, towels, shoes, drinks, snacks, books, purse, make up, phone and well there is still so much room left even with all these things and more inside.

It’s shoulder straps are more comfortable to carry than mosts bags and don’t dig in or drag even when the bag gets heavy. It has a massive 7 pockets in total meaning phones and valuables can be hidden securely.

The lining inside is the Kama pattern for which there are also matching yoga mats.

It’s a great bag. I’m not a yoga person myself if I’m being honest but it makes a great family swim bag for all our swim gear and of course perfect for our weekend breaks.

You can buy these directly from YogaBellies for £35.

VARTA – Outdoor sports comfort lantern

Published January 4, 2018 by Bizzimummy

If you have not heard of VARTA yet, then in brief, they sell gadgets such as chargers, portable power banks, torches, lights and batteries. The sort of stuff that comes in very handy when travelling, or camping or even for sports.

I have one of their outdoor lanterns. Theres a few reasons why I’m posting about this in January as opposed to pre Christmas. Firstly this is the time when many people like myself have to venture into their deep dark murky lofts to put the Christmas decorations back. Also many people start keeping fit at this time of year in time for Summer, the daylight is still minimal and so something like this may just be useful.

Of course it’s not just for Winter months but any time of the year. It’s not just for the outdoors either, it comes in handy inside too.

It comes apart for battery insertion into three pieces that all screw together. It needs 3 D type batteries which are the big chunky ones.

It has a few different lighting modes which are all accessible via the press of the main button.

The amber light is extremely bright, and I mean in your face bright! Even on the dimmer function it still remains nice and bright making it perfect for the dark outdoors.

Two quick taps of the switch turns the light to the white LED which is less brighter and more suitable as a night light.

The lamp when loaded with batteries does pack a little weight but this reflects the whole quality of the overall product. It’s certainly a tough little thing, shockproof, waterproof and pretty much breakproof being tested from a 2M drop (not by myself). Therefore it’s pretty much guaranteed to last through any terrain and any weather.

It has double carry handles at the top and can be carried around just like the traditional lanterns. Underneath is an extra hook for hanging it up.

I can’t help but love this gadget.

Prices range from £30 upwards from various sellers and more information about this lantern and other VARTA products can be found on their website.

Blogger Board Game Club – Jungle Speed

Published January 3, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Now that the festivities are pretty much over with, I’m finally getting back into the hang of my blog and my reviews. Yes Christmas certainly zapped my blogging energy along with the never ending run of our household family viruses.

Anyway yes I’m back and am back with my first family game of the year as part of the Blogger Game Club.

As you can see. This is called Jungle Speed. I’m really glad that we got this game this time round because some of the games we have played previously have been too difficult for Izebella and a few even a bit hard for Jordanna to master. This one is aimed at 7 years and above, but if you have a clever 5 year old like I do then there is no harm at all in them joining in too.

See it’s just a lot of cards with patterns and a wooden totem which I believe to be a tribal type thing. This totem doesn’t actually do much in way of sounds or anything either and so no batteries are needed.

Rules are simple. It’s a bit like snap in a way with a few differences. The cards all get dealt out and there’s lots of them so it can take a while with fewer players. Just like snap each player turns over one card at a time but unlike snap; players form own piles rather than a big middle pile (tho of course the rules can be changed to suit!)

Unlike snap, these cards have no numbers, it’s all strange patterns and shapes and it’s all about the patterns. The colours don’t matter but the patterns need to match exactly. It gets confusing because some of them are really similar just not quite the same. If a pattern match is spotted a player has to quickly grab the totem, leaving the other players to add all the played cards to their own piles. Just like snap, the first to get rid of all their cards wins.

There’s a few extra bonus type cards hidden among the pattern cards too that can change the play a little and various rules should two players grab the totem at the same time etc but nothing too complicated with this game, after all if my five year old can play it first time round then I think anyone can.

This one costs anything from £14.00 upwards and up to 10 people can play at once. An easy Peasy quick fast thinking family game.

Degustabox December

Published January 2, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Just before Christmas my last Degustaboxof 2017 arrived.

Here is what was inside!

First a fair few drinks to keep us refreshed over the festive period.

A Sleep well Vanilla milk drink which I’m guessing helps little ones get a better sleep at night. To save arguments I had this and thought it was really nice.

The Lift Green Tea got given to a friend as this is not something I enjoy.

Robinson’s fruit creations are the all new twist on Robinson’s juices. I think they designed them more with adults in mind but my kids had this bottle.

ColdPress Apple juice – very refreshing and especially so ice cold.

San Miguel – it’s beer so not for me.

And then I found all of these lovely treats too!

Willies Cacao black pearls – These sound like something straight out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Think big balls of dark chocolate with an inner circle full of bitter sweet salted caramel, just delicious.

Planters – These are small packs of nuts with varying flavours.

Taking the Pea – yes strangely enough it’s a dried pea snack pack, not really for us tho.

Pop chips – I think this was the first thing we munched through. A nice sized share bag. Star Wars shaped theme snack,

Candy Kittens – sour fizzy sweets bursting with delicious fruit flavours. I love them.

And as if that wasn’t enough. I got these two cupboard items too.

Ryvita – Rice cakes & Mary Berry’s vinaigrette dressing which I did mistake for a drink at first. It’s good with salads and great for drizzling over certain types of fish too as it’s lemon based and I can even see bits of lemon inside the bottle.

I really enjoyed the December box, so much so that there is barely anything left of it now. The snacks were great and some of the drinks seemed to go down well too.

As always Degustabox is £12.99 monthly subscription and this price includes full p&p.

It’s a Troll-Tastic new year!

Published January 1, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Well Happy new teach all my lovely followers and leaders, and to start off 2018 I have a very happy post featuring the loveable Trolls. In our house the trolls movie was just as big a hit with Izebella as Frozen and Tangled both were and of course her favourite character is the loveable Poppy troll.

Just two days before Christmas a very special box arrived at our door from the elves over at Hasbro. As it was so close to the big day, the box contents got wrapped up as an extra surprise for my cute little princess.

Izebella now has two extra troll items in her collection. This includes a huge play set – the PoDular tree playset. This comes with a small poppy figure, other figures can be purchased separately. The playset comes as plastic parts which easily join together. There are special troll swings that can change positions and special troll seats and accessories.

It’s really tall too being 16 inches, very bright and colourful which is probably what caught Izebellas eye the most. It doesn’t have any sort of sound effects or flashing lights and so does not need batteries but she still loves playing with it and swapping the swings around.

The tree set retails around £35 – £40 in most toy stores. I feel this is overpriced considering what it is and I think the Dreamworks brand and whole Trolls franchise is what makes the cost so high. I think it’s good that the poppy figure comes included, I imagine this small figure alone would probably be around £10.

Izebella also now has the new “Hair in the Air” poppy doll.

Poppy has such amazing hair, 14 inches of bright pink hair that can be twisted and bent to create more styles. She comes with a tiara and comb but to be honest these are very small accessories and will easily be lost and aren’t really needed to play with Poppy.

Her gown plays music, her hair lights up with twinkly red lights and sounds and poppy even says the odd few words such as “Wheee” or “Wow”.

It’s obvious to see why little girls love toys like these. Prices for the poppy hair doll seem to vary from £25-£35. I would be happy to pay the lower £25 for this doll but I feel anymore is just too much.

Izebella absolutely loves her new Trolls additions.
