I was recently contacted and asked to try out a new rubbish removal service called Clearabee. Clearabee offer a service using Bee bags. The bags arrive with a courier and are picked up at a time that suits and emptied.
There are four sizes of Bee bags and all are designed for removing household and garden junk. May is a perfect time for a spring clean too and pretty much anything can be put in the bags.
We opted for the large bag. This bag is huge and can actually hold 10 standard washing machines. It’s bigger than a medium skip which was quite hard to imagine being a bag.
The bag is really lightweight when empty. It’s made of similar materials to the strong shopping bags. It’s hard to see from a photo, just how big it opens up, so there was only one thing to do, and that was to get in it. Don’t worry it was clean!
I’ve never been inside a bag before and even with all 3 of us in, there was still room for at least 20 more. It’s huge.
So we through all our junk and rubbish in, but I under estimated just how big this bag was and it was still quite empty. My neighbours also had some rubbish so I kindly let them throw theirs in too. Now all our houses are junk free for the Summer.
I made the wise choice of placing the bag outside my garden gate. Otherwise there was no way this would all fit through. I then emailed the Clearabee company and they collected on the requested morning, sending messages to advise they were on the way. They arrive by van and the bag is reusable if you want to keep for further collections. The guys who came were very polite and friendly.
I think this is a great idea perhaps for neighbours together or workplaces. The smaller bag may be more suited to smaller households but the larger bag was certainly to large just for us.
