Nestled away in the village of Towyn is a lovely quiet holiday park called Ty Mawr. We recently took a weekend break there via the Sun holiday offers. Ty Mawr is a Park Dean holiday park offering caravans and camping.
As we booked through Sun holidays rather than direct, our accommodation was issued on arrival. I did not know what to expect but was very happy with the large 2 bedroom caravan. This had all the essentials and even an on suite toilet in the main bedroom. This caravan could easily accommodate 6/7 people.
The weather was amazing for us all weekend which meant we got to explore the area too. We went to the beach and had a walk into Towyn which takes about ten minutes.
This Black Cat arcade was there when I sad little!
Ty Mawr has very similar facilities to what Haven and Pontins parks have. There is a large pool with a flume, club with entertainment, arcade, kids park, launderette, shop and even a basketball and crazy golf area.
For £125 we got our accommodation, bedding and entertainment passes for 3 nights. The Entertainment in the evening usually consists of many kids games and dances followed by some sort of singers of cabaret act which were really good. I didn’t drink any alcohol there but the bar sells pitchers of kids juice for just a pound a jug which is really worth getting.
We ate at the boathouse restaurant on just one evening. We managed to all get a meal we enjoyed for just over £20 with drinks too. There is also a chip shop on site and the shop prices are not too high.
We had a really nice weekend and the weather stayed really hot for us. I did spend more than anticipated whilst there. I’m not sure I’d want to stay for a week but a long weekend was just we needed.
