I’m going to Blog On Icebreaker linky

Published May 18, 2017 by Bizzimummy

This Sunday I will be travelling to Manchester to attend the Blog On Msi 2017 conference where I will be meeting lots of brands and lots of bloggers. So that people get to know a bit about me, I’m taking part in the icebreaker linky challenge.

Here are my answers!

• Share a recent picture of you (if you are an anonymous blog, a drawing is fine)

• Describe yourself in three words

Caring, friendly, fun

•How long have you been blogging and what made you start? 4 years and 1 month. I started when my daughter was a small baby to relieve the stay at home boredom.

•What was the inspiration behind your blog name? 3 kids and always busy

What is the best thing to come from your blog so far? My big 3D television, meeting a few celebrities, programme launch in London and a retweet of my post by Sir Alan.

•Your most remembered thing from your childhood My brother being born

•Something interesting you might not know about me is . . . I worked as a dancer at a very famous London club, many years ago

•Which social media platform best describes your personality and why? Twitter, I love to tweet and talk

•What is your happy song? Too many to mention

•What is your favourite alcoholic drink Baileys

•What is your favourite cake?  Meringue

•What is your favourite takeaway dish? Chicken jalfrezi

•Where is your dream holiday destination and why? The Galápagos Islands because they are so remote and untouched

•What would your superhero name be? Supermummy

•What would you have on your gravestone? – I wouldn’t have one, I want to be cryogenically frozen 😝

-•You make headline news around the world in 2 years time… but for what reason? For winning the Euro millions

If you had a magical power, would you want to have and why? Teleportation like the guy in the movie jumper so I could go anywhere I wanted

What one weapon would help you survive a zombie apocalypse? Something that made me turn invisible

If you could send something into space, what would it be? My ex partner maybe

If an EMP wiped out all mechanical forms of transport, how would you get to BlogOn? A magic carpet maybe, or I’d borrow a horse from a field for a few hours and gallop there.

Our Britmums #FrubesMovesChallenge

Published October 31, 2016 by Bizzimummy

We were chosen by Britmums to take part in the #FrubesMovesChallenge. The challenge is a dance off between the michevious pigs and Angry birds from the must see family film of the year which is of course Angry birds.

Frubes have teamed up with Angry birds to bring a selection of character frubes.

Frubes are known as portable yoghurt. The yoghurt comes in squeeze tubes and are available in strawberry, red berry, peach and banana. They contain calcium and vitamin D for strong bones, and are great for kids lunchboxes.

And now time for our challenge!

We did a few videos but the one that won it for me was Izebellas who chose a pig team frube.

I did not tell her how to dance or what to do. Her moves are 100% her own. She does dance lessons once a week and loves dancing around the house too.

This post is an entry for the BritMums #FrubesMoves Linky Challenge, sponsored by Frubes

Knorr Gluten Free Challenge

Published November 3, 2014 by Bizzimummy

I was recently sent an email and asked if I would like to take part in the Knorr Gluten free challenge. As part of my challenge I was sent a hamper full of fresh goodies. I did take a photograph which mysteriously vanished but the hamper contained several vegetables, sauce, pastry mix, flour and a sainsburys gift card amongst other things. It also of course contained Knorr stock pots Pots of which 4 are gluten free*, including Chicken, Rich Beef, Beef and Vegetable Knorr Stock Pots. This is what the challenge is all about.

I could make any dish I liked and being British I chose a roast dinner but I used chips rather than potatoes as I could not be bothered peeling and chopping spuds as well as everything else.

My mealFirst the chicken went in for approximately one and a half hours.

IMG_0540.JPGIn my hamper, some carrots which got cut into strips and part boiled for 5 minutes or so.

Also in my hamper, a rather bizarre looking vegetable which I had no idea what is was. I had to take a photo and send it to friends. It turned out to be fennel which I don't think I have ever tried never mind cooked with before, but after some googling and friend asking I found it can be used in many ways including roasting. So along with the part boiled carrots, a sliced up pepper and an onion, the chopped up fennel joined the mixture in a roasting tray, drizzled with olive oil which was infused with lemon and a pinch of sugar over it.

I have never made this before and therefore had no idea how it would turn out. I left this in for 50 minutes.

I also cooked some frozen chips and some kale which is very similar to cabbage and only takes a few minutes to boil.

Once everything was almost cooked it was time to use one of the Knorr stock pots to make a tasty gravy. They are easy to use and look a little like a savoury jelly. They dissolve in water in minutes and can be used in stews, pies, drizzling as well as for gravy.

And here is the meal, finished and ready to eat.

And time to add the gravy made with the chicken Knorr stockpot!

It tasted great and I was very happy with myself for making it all by myself. It's not very often I make something like this and I was surprised how it easy it was. Izebella enjoyed it too.

All of the entry posts will be submitted via twitter using #glutenfreeknorr. The competition ends November 7th and several prizes can be won.

Alphabet project I is for Izebella

Published July 10, 2014 by Bizzimummy

This is my Alphabet project post. You can view the link up at Podcast.
I was really busy last week with one thing or another and so completely forgot to link up with the letter H.

Luckily I have a bit of spare time today so am back joining in with the letter I.

I is for Izebella. Izebella is my youngest child. She has just turned 21 months
Walks, talks in sentences, has conversations, and is more or less potty trained, at least at home. I have not yet attempted taking her out without a pull up just yet and she wears pull ups at night.
She was born with hair and still has her original hair, it never fell out.
She is bossy and quite a little madam at times. She is quite well behaved tho. She sleeps very well at night and goes to bed fuss free. She is past the tantrum stage so I’m hoping her 2 year old stage should be a breeze. She is so helpful too and I sometimes wonder how she can be so clever at just a year old.

Well that’s my letter I. Nice and easy one this time.

Alphabet Project: G is for girls

Published June 25, 2014 by Bizzimummy

I’m linking up with the weekly Alphabet project over at Podcast.
This week is the letter G

G is for girls of which I have two.

I should really have 3 girls but unfortunately my “would be middle girl” passed away at just 10 hours old. She came to soon at 23 weeks and one day. Her name was Keira.

I now have 2 girls. Girls are a mothers best friend. Girls are pretty and enjoy pink and fluffy things (at least mine do). I love buying them clothes and doing mum and daughter things.

I miss my other little girl and I really wish she was here too. I hope she is having a great time up in heaven.

I also have a “not so little” boy who I love just as much as my girls.

So G is for girls!

Alphabet Project: F is for Falling asleep (in strange positions)

Published June 19, 2014 by Bizzimummy

F has been a difficult one to think of. Many of the few things beginning with F had already been done by others over at the podcast linky and I really wanted a unique one and one I could use photographs for.

Therefore my F is for Falling asleep.
I keep finding my 20 month old falling asleep in some very strange positions and places.
Here are just a few pictures.
