Yogisac by YogaBellies

Published January 8, 2018 by Bizzimummy

It’s the start of a brand new year and the time when many people start considering their Summer bodies and how to get in shape.

YogaBellies is an award winning brand that’s all about fitness and the female form, yoga of course. Their yogisac appeared on Dragons den and has also been featured in many magazines.

Yogisac is not a fitness item as such, but more a big comfortable bag to keep everything us ladies need inside to help get us fit.

The bag opens up really wide, so it would also double up as a weekend travel bag because there is just so much space inside.

It’s designed to easily store a roll out yoga mat, along with clothes, towels, shoes, drinks, snacks, books, purse, make up, phone and well there is still so much room left even with all these things and more inside.

It’s shoulder straps are more comfortable to carry than mosts bags and don’t dig in or drag even when the bag gets heavy. It has a massive 7 pockets in total meaning phones and valuables can be hidden securely.

The lining inside is the Kama pattern for which there are also matching yoga mats.

It’s a great bag. I’m not a yoga person myself if I’m being honest but it makes a great family swim bag for all our swim gear and of course perfect for our weekend breaks.

You can buy these directly from YogaBellies for £35.

Gifts for girls: Mc2 pixel purse 👛

Published November 20, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Over the next few days I will be featuring and reviewing some toys and gifts designed with girls in mind. Having two girls, and being female myself means these types of gifts come almost second nature to me.

I’m Starting with a new and unique gift which is part of the Project Mc2 girls range.

Project MC2 is of course the Netflix series focussing around a team of girls who love science and all sorts of experiments and attempting to highlight that science can be enjoyed by girls just as much as boys.

We have had lots of Mc2 dolls and accessories, this pixel purse being the latest one. The purse can be used as a normal everyday purse or mini bag. It easily holds most standard size phones inside and comes with a shoulder strap attached. This however is no ordinary purse.

The front of the purse is essentially a light display. A bit like having an automated light box on your bag. It comes with 10 pre programmed animations ready to use without any extra device. When those 10 start to bore, more can be created using an app. Girls can spend hours creating their very own unique animations to light up their bags.

Animations can include lots of colour, stamps and even words to create names and swapped again and again.

The app has many different modes and the designs all begin with a blank pixel screen meaning it’s completely down to the owner what the animation turns out like.

Jordanna very much enjoyed trying out different colours and patterns and experimenting with the app to make all sorts of animations. The purse fits her phone in along with a few other small accessories.

The age guide level is 6-12 years and the purse costs around £39.99 from all good toy retailers.

Back to School: Easy 2 Name

Published August 24, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Easy 2 Name is all about personalisation. They sell personalised name labels which are essential to minimise lost items at school. They also make personalised bags and pencil cases too.

This is one of their shoe bags which has been made for Izebella. It’s called a shoe bag but they are also used as PE bags for carrying the PE kit to and from school. I very much doubt that anyone will mistake this bag for being theirs. It is very bright with her name clearly displayed. It’s things like this which make my little girl more happy and less wary about starting her first day at big school.

These bags cost £9.95 each and come in a choice of pink and blue. Up to 28 characters can be used and an optional shoe logo can be added too.

Back to School: Sambro

Published August 14, 2017 by Bizzimummy

This September will be Izebellas first year in “Big School”. She has been in nursery for 2 years and had no problems but going in to reception year means longer days, more children and the start of real school work.

Although Izebella does not need her own stationery for school; as school supply this; I thought it would be a good idea to give her some of the stationery that Sambro UK sent over prior to starting school. Just so she didn’t feel left out with big brother and sister getting theirs. Plus we were sent a very lovely bundle that’s just perfect for her age.

Sambro stationery is all about the characters that younger children (& even grown ups) love. As you can see, we have a lovely mix up of well known characters from television and movies. Frozen, My little pony, Paw patrol, Despicable me, Miffy etc. Izebella is familiar with all of these.

Izebella was really happy with her gorgeous new My Little Pony bag, Im not surprised because I would of been ecstatic if I had got one when I was four.

It’s big enough to fit all her new stationery products inside too, as well as any homework or letters she gets from school. (I’m still baffled as to why they get homework in primary schools now?)

These character writing sets are adorable, Disney frozen gel pens with a shimmer & shine note book. A large Frozen stationery set with everything a little princess needs for writing and a Minion life lockable diary. Izebella has some strange fascination with diaries at the moment.

And take a look at these amazingly cute erasers from the Disney Princess 12 pack.

12 erasers will last forever. I think Izebella may just get upset when these start to wear down.

And a pretty princess pencil case too. This opens up both sides to reveal two compartments. Plus it has an attached pencil sharpener so no need to worry about losing it. The Cinderella art work on this is just beautiful isn’t it?

And for the cold miserable rainy Summer days, a little painting set with Miffy.

It’s a very simple set with 6 Miffy colouring sheets and a paint tray with brush. This would also make a good stocking filler or party prize.

And of course my little girl is thrilled with her brand new stationery and cannot wait to wear the new My little pony bag for her first day at big school.

Classic rucksack from Scruffs workwear

Published May 24, 2016 by Bizzimummy

Scruffs is all about work wear and safety gear for those in the trade. I am not in need of any sort of heavy duty work or safety gear myself at the moment, but I did spot this rather useful rucksack on the website.

To me, this bag does not come across as typical work wear. It’s more like something I would choose to take on a long walk or rambling. The colour is navy blue with light brown straps which again don’t really say trade type colours. To look at it in a picture it looks like your average rucksack, but it’s quite deceptive as its much bigger than it looks inside.

At the back, next to the straps is the main deep pocket. This is fairly large and opens up to the full length of the bag. This one pocket alone will fit a lot of stuff inside.

The second pocket is almost as big as the first. This space comes with yet another smaller hideaway padded compartment  fastened by a Velcro strap, this could be useful for laptops and tablet storage. Next to this is one of those key chain holders (quite useful). The second pocket also contains a mesh pocket section with 2 small places to store phones or other smaller items.

A third pocket on the front of the bag reveals a large insulated cool bag section which can be used for food and drink storage. Below this is a smaller rectangular compartment perfect for pens and small items.

This one rucksack has so much space inside. I am sure it makes a great bag for work and tools but it also makes a great weekend bag too and seems perfect as hand luggage on planes. It is comfortable to carry on the back as  there is EVA padding to the straps and back, thus avoiding discomfort.

In my opinion this bag is an absolute bargain for space, style and comfort. It costs just £24.95 which is probably a standard price for similar bags which don’t have as much space as this one. It would be perfect for school and college too as it doesn’t cost the Earth. Ryan already has his eye on it once we have finished taking the bag on trips away.

Envirotrend

EnviroTrend is leading the fight against damaging plastic bags with a fashionable and affordable range of eco-friendly designer shopping bags, rucksacks and rain coats.Everything they sell is eco friendly as well as fun and waterproof. Each product is also extremely compact and folds down into a very small travel sized pocket.

This here is actually a fold away coat in Jordannas size. This is pink but there are other colours and sizes available. The raincoat pulls out of the pocket and at first it does feel very tightly compacted and I was worried I may damage it by pulling too hard but it was fine.

It does look quite creased when it all folds out but once on you can’t really notice the creases much. The coat is fully waterproof and so perfect for the current season and has a hood and popper fasteners which seem to keep the hood up even in a gale.

Now even more worrying for me was the thought of attempting to fold the coat back up into the pouch. This is done by turning the pocket inside out and stuffing the coat back in and yippee it worked on first attempt.

These  Splash it to me raincoats start at £16.00 and perfect for the ever changing and rather strange British weather where one minute it’s raining and next it’s sunny and no one wants to lug around a heavy coat. Also good for camping and festivals.

Next the Sak it to me bags which could not have come at a better time, given all the hype around the 5p shopping bag charge and bag waste. Again they start off as a small pouch like this.

And easily open out into one of these.

They are much stronger than they look and do hold quite a few bits. They have more uses than just shopping too, it’s really a bag for anywhere such as gym, beach, library and all come with funky patterns. Unlike plastic bags this one can be used over and over again and when folded into the pocket it can be put in my normal handbag so I never forget it. The bags hold up to 15kg and start from £6.00.
