Pancake Tuesday with the NumNoms

Published February 13, 2018 by Bizzimummy

It’s pancake day once again and although I detest the things, my children seem to love them. My girls also love NumNoms so we’re only too happy to participate in our Num Noms pancake champion challenge.

Now yes I know it’s early in the day, but when did that ever stop Blue Peter from showcasing anything? Yes we made a few yesterday and this morning, but firstly here are the contents of the lovely NumNoms pancake parcel we received.

So we have lots of pancake mix and sweet pancake toppings. Some brand new NumNoms and light up NumNoms too. And yes the pan is a real pan. I did have to query that one as I wasn’t too sure, but just look 👀

This has to be the most cutest pan I’ve ever seen, it also has a Valentine’s theme to it too.

My girls are keen collectors of NumNoms and have literally hundreds from all the series. We are now on series 4.1 and series 2.1 for the light up flashing NumNoms.

NumNoms are perfect for occasions like Pancake Tuesday because they are all based on food items and mainly the sweet stuff which is what my kids love on their pancakes.

Unfortunately I am hopeless at tossing, so whilst the pancake may look perfect on one side, they don’t turn out perfect once I manage to flip the damn things. So it’s a good job the toppings cover up the disaster.

Hmm it’s sort of still heart shaped I guess and it went down a treat with some sweet stuff on top.

Of course this little pan oh gives little pancakes which are fine for the small people like Izebella, but teenage boys want something bigger that’s not heart shaped.

So a normal round one it was.

And yes we still have lots more mixture to get through tonight and lots more toppings and crazy NumNoms to make flavours from. I will be happily making them, my kids will be eating them.

Num Noms personalised collectors case

Published December 11, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Carousel PR have just launched their Biggest Collector competition, a two-month search to find the biggest Num Noms fan in the country. They are giving away the biggest prizes yet with a huge product bundle, branded goodies and even money – plus prizes for the runners up.
If you think that you have the best collection of Num Noms, they would love to see your pictures, all you have to do is simply share a picture on Facebook and tag Num Noms or email it to NumNoms@carouselpr.com showing why your little one is such a fan.”

Izebella has hundreds of Num Noms. So many I darent count. And now she has somewhere to display her best ones with this lovely personalised collectors case.

Izebella has been sent her very own Num Nom case because she’s such a great fan along with some more new num Noms.

The case will hold about 24 num Noms and came with lots of stickers with her name on to stick anywhere she wants. It also came with a sheet of num nom stickers for the various num nom categories.

It’s a lovely case abs it means she can have her best num Noms always on display.

Num Noms series 4

Published July 28, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Whether you love them or hate them, it would seem the Num Noms are more than just a quick fad and may just be around for a while.

For those who still don’t know what Num Noms are; well think small rubbery parts which smell like food items, some good and some down right revolting. Other parts made from hard plastic that either move and vibrate or contain a lip gloss, eraser, stamper and they all stack up together to make unique foodie characters.

Series 4 Num Noms don’t differ much to previous Num Nom series, different characters have been invented with many scents. The two packets we have here are desert tray and tea party num Noms.

There is also the addition of the brand new Num Noms magazine with the release of series 4. This is a fun magazine with lots to do for young ones. It also came with a few extras such as a little camera, not a real camera but more like one of those click projecter things from the 1980s with pictures of Num Noms.

There was also a pack of stickers which have numbers on the back but no sticker album came included. I managed to find one online for Izebella for a few pound so she can use the stickers.

Jordanna also loves Num Noms and even enjoys drawing them.

Num Noms and many accessories can be purchased in most toy stores including The Entertainer store. There are many packs starting with small to very big with lots of Num Noms inside. The magazine which is monthly, may also be found in toy stores, supermarkets and newsagents costing £3.90.

NumNoms series 3

Published June 17, 2017 by Bizzimummy

We have a few more cute collectible goody type characters from Num Noms series 3 packs.

Izebella absolutely loves these strange rubbery type tiny figures, in fact I have had to upgrade her to a larger storage box to keep them all in or otherwise I would be finding odd Num Nom bits all over.

It seems that with every new series of Num Noms, new parts are introduced as well of course as characters and themes which are all based around food items.

Series 3 bought with it Num Nom lights too which are a completely new series all on there own including light ups, glitter and even freezie pop Num Noms

They are called Num Noms because of the two parts – The num and the Nom. I can’t recall which one is which but one of them is the rubbery textured soft part and the other part is the one that does something, this can be a moving part, a stamper, rubber, lip gloss etc. They keep coming with new quirky things.

Here are some of our latest series 3.

They are bright, colourful and very sweet looking. We found a stamp and eraser and even a strange part which has a hole in. I’m not too sure what this part is for.

Here’s Jordanna with her friend trying to work out which one is which out of a large box of all our Num Noms collection.

I think girls of all ages love these. Num Nom packs can be purchased pretty much anywhere in most good toy stores and in various pack sizes.

Pancake day with Num noms

Published February 28, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Well incase you forgot, it is pancake day today or shrove Tuesday if you prefer. We do pancakes every year even tho I’m not a fan myself, my children love it.

This year we are taking part in a Num noms campaign “what’s your flavour” and it involves incorporating the new num noms series 3 with our pancake recipes.

These are the new series 3!  With a lunchbox yet sweet theme.

So armed with a bottle of this stuff!  – (No I don’t even attempt them from scratch!) plus…..

A non stick frying pan too, along with an open door and working smoke alarm, off I went to make pancakes.

Oh and of course a few toppings too with a few inedible additions here.

Attempt #1 – went totally wrong, the damn thing would not turn and stuck to the “non stick” frying pan! I don’t do flipping either, way too scary, I just use two pans and flip the pancake into the other one.

#Attempt 2 – a bit better, tho not round like it started out. Still Izebella didn’t mind what shape it was and was more than happy to decorate it.

I think we have Sara strawberry Num nom here at the front along with two others. Izebella has a box full of hundreds of them and I only know a few of the foodie names.

Onto the third attempt and much better, I’m getting the hang of this now! Jordanna’s creation a little more basic with the ingredients but not so with the Num noms!

Yes she chose all the pink, white and chocolate coloured Num noms to represent her toppings – chocolate spread, marshmallow fluff and strawberries.

I think Izebella got slightly carried away on the next attempt and covered the pancake with Num noms.

She did find Maya mallow, after a bit of digging in the box, and placed her proudly on top of the marshmallow.
And Ryan doesn’t really do Num noms on his plate, however he can make an almost perfect round pancake his self, much better than my previous attempts.

New num noms are here

Published January 19, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Look at this happy little face!

She’s happy because the new series of num noms have arrived. Izebella absolutely loves these tiny plastic collectables. I have even bought her a special large box just to keep them in.

These are Num noms series 3, and I’m thinking we made need a bigger box soon if many more series follow these. Series 3 seems to be all about sweets and candy type food stuff and it’s okay that they aren’t so healthy because kids aren’t eating them but collecting, stacking and playing instead.

Like previous series these come as collectable blister packs and the blind “surprise” boxes and a full collectors sheet of each num nom in this series. The new additions this time are the eraser noms.

As well as the new series 3, Izebella also now has some of the brand new num nom lights.

These can be stacked and played with in the same way as regular num noms but they light up too. Izebella got 2 blind boxes and both contained one of the rarer special edition lights.

Again happy faces all round!

Buy num noms from most good toy stores and supermarkets, prices vary.

Num noms advent #2

Published December 21, 2016 by Bizzimummy

It’s now just 4 days until Christmas and our big num noms box is starting to look a little empty now. My girls have been taking turns to open one present each on alternate days and have so far found many num noms, sweets, stickers, lip gloss and much more. We have also been sent yet more surprise goodies to open right before the big day. I wonder what these could be??

Well unfortunately Jordanna did not realise that they were both to be saved for Xmas and opened the purple package, and inside…..

It’s a new apron! As for the other package, well you may just find out after Xmas. Join in the twitter fun at #Numnomsadvent via twitter.

Num Noms advent box

Published December 3, 2016 by Bizzimummy

The countdown to Christmas has begun in our house, with the arrival of chocolate advents, decorations and a large box?

Yes we are also celebrating the run up to Xmas with num noms and have a very special advent box which I keep under the tree.

Now there is no calendar as such, instead my girls take turns each day to put there hands inside and get a prize, so it’s a bit like a lucky dip box.

These are the contents inside which include – Num noms, sweets, stickers, colouring sheets and whole lot more yet to be discovered.

We have been happily using our num nom advent box since December 1st, so we are 3 days into it so far.
Day 1. Izebella found a num nom lucky dip box

Day 2. Jordanna got a num noms pack

Day 3. Izebella also got a num noms pack!

And lots more days to go until Santa visits our house once again!

I so wish we had advent boxes like this when I was a little girl.

Num Noms Wacky Bakers challenge

Published October 6, 2016 by Bizzimummy

We have been challenged by Num noms to create our own recipes and also sent more delightful num noms sets.

We could pretty much make what we liked with the focus around baking or sweet stuff, the sweet num noms always smell the best. We have all been busy the past few weeks creating a lot of sweet things with num nom inspiration.

This is our Num nom mess, our version of Eton Mess, we use Sara strawberry for inspiration and strawberry cream Num nom. This yummy dessert is very simple to make and you can create your own versions as you please.

We use crushed meringue with icecream, strawberries, chocolate and squirty cream. I think the num noms would be very happy with this dessert.
We also made a very easy strawberry cheesecake. This was made using a digestive biscuit and butter base. Then whipping cream and cottage cheese together and finally adding the strawberries and sprinkles.

Two recipes both based around strawberries and cream with two unique tastes.

We do love num noms and desserts in our house.

More Num noms!

Published August 17, 2016 by Bizzimummy

We are going a little Num nom crazy in our house recently and even more so with the arrival of yet more num nom packs.

These are the brunch bunch and freezie pop packs and each of these contains four num nom pieces and a kitchen accessory. These packs come with the moving “Go-Go” Noms which are motorised and can be stacked with the num parts to create mini foodie feasts (tho no they can’t be eaten)

Each pack comes with unique foodie scents and I have no idea how the scent of applied nor how it stays around as we can still smell the series one num noms and these are series 2.

Izebella seems fascinated with these strange new collectables and the collection seems to be growing rapidly.

Num nom packs come in varying sizes both small and large and can be purchased at many toy stores. I would advise buying a cheap storage box or using a shoe box as the collections grow quick and they are small so can be easily lost. They are great for playground swaps and a full num nom list is included in each pack with a space beside each one to mark it off.
