Sylvanian families sky ride adventure

Published July 13, 2017 by Bizzimummy

It’s time for Izebellas loveable sylvanian family characters to take to the warm Summer skies in their brand new sky ride flying machine.

Families can sit inside the sky ride whilst being watched on the ground by friends enjoying a summer picnic.

The flying machine has enough room for a small family of three, one at the front driving and two at the back. It comes with propellers, wheels and the big rugby shaped balloon to take off and soar the skies.

The picnic set is also included and consists of a small pink picnic blanket, a picnic plate and various food accessorises.

The flying machine is good to go straight from the box as it comes ready assembled.

Of course (for us grown ups) it does not actually fly. It does not need batteries either but little ones will use their imaginations to ensure that it does fly somehow.

The Sylvanian characters do not come included. It’s just the flying machine and picnic set in the box. The characters you see in the photographs are from previous Sylvanian family reviews. Izebella has a lovely small collection now. If you are considering buying the sky ride adventure then you will need to purchase the characters separately if your child does not already own any.

This can be purchased in most good toy stores  costing between £20-£25.

Sylvanian family accessory set

Published March 30, 2017 by Bizzimummy

Being part of the “friends of sylvanian families” blogger group means that my girls get sent lots of cute little sylvanian family members and accessories. Of course my son Ryan could play with them too but for obvious reasons; chooses not to.

Izebella seems to like Sylvanian family’s the most and our most recent product is a little accessory set.

This set contains lots of little accessories which can be used on the sylvanian family characters. There are headbands, jewellery, bags and even sunglasses. Obviously this is just an accessory kit and it would only be bought if you already have Sylvanian family characters.  Izebella has quite a collection of the sweet furry animals and seemed very pleased to have a few more bits to put on them.

All the parts in the set are really small. I think they will be easily lost and it’s probably best to have some sort of container to put them all in. I have a few boxes for small accessories such as these and other bits such as dolls shoes.

Some of the headbands can be difficult to get on certain characters as the heads do seem to vary in size.

There is not much else to say about this, Izebella is happy with it so it’s kept her quiet for a bit. This costs £7.00 which is not too bad. Perhaps a stocking filler for lovers of Sylvanian families.

Sylvanian goat family

Published January 27, 2017 by Bizzimummy

This is our latest and rather cute Sylvanian family set and this time it’s a goat family with 4 members.

After doing a little research on the internet I have found out that this particular family is known as “The Brightfield Goat family”;  yes all the character sets  come with family names. There is Father Billy, Mother Nancy, Sister Mandy and Baby Jenny.

Father Billy is a postman, hence the blue bag, Mother Nancy loves to sew and make cushions for the nursery, Mandy likes reading and writing and baby Jenny enjoys trips to the park and going to nursery. Each Sylvanian character comes with its own role and personality too.

As always Izebella was happy to add more Sylvanian characters to her ever expanding collection of these adorable, sweet, furry animal figures and she had only had them minute before their clothes came off and got swapped around (something she loves to do).

A Sylvanian family set such as this goat family will cost between £10-£16 depending on store.

Sylvanian families are collectible figures which have been around for decades. It’s one of those toys that will probably be around for ever and it’s easy to see why, they are very cute and appealing. Many toy stores and supermarkets will stock various Sylvanian family products.

Festive Sylvanian Families

Published December 30, 2016 by Bizzimummy

Izebella loves her very cute adorable Sylvanian family figures and right before Christmas she got another pack to add to her collection. Of course being right before Christmas could only mean one thing for the new characters and thaf of course is Christmas. I

This is a special Sylvanian family Christmas set. Three figures came with it, all being festive bunnies and included a miniature figure. There is a tree and plastic pull out type decorations to hang on the tree. Also some little pop out cardboard presents. These can be fiddly and especially so with long nails.

It is as you can see a rather cute set to have.

Sylvanian families and cow baby

Published November 21, 2016 by Bizzimummy

You may recall my post several weeks ago of the Sylvanian family Nursery set. Well over the past few weeks my little girl Izebella has been sent a few Sylvanian family figures to add to the nursery and any future play sets she may get.

Sylvanian family’s have been around for ages. In fact I even remember them being out when I was younger. To give a very brief description (for those who don’t know what they are) – Sylvanian families and groups of very cute animal characters, lots of different animals to collect which come in packs of families or individual characters and a whole load of accessories and sets. Highly collectable and I imagine some of the really old rare characters may be worth something by now. The Sylvanian family website shows many of the available characters and sets.

This is Izebellas new family set!

It’s a field mouse family set, with mum, dad, brother, sister all dressed in country style outfits. The majority of family sets do come with four characters and the odd few sets have three.

It wasn’t long before Izebella had undressed and re dressed all of them, tho she muddled up their clothes a little. The brother character now has some other clothes on.

As well as the family Izebella also has one of the new Sylvanian family babies. Again a fair few animal characters to choose from for these and this is the Fresian cow baby.

Very cute and small and comes with a little crib and bottle. The bottle is tiny tho and easily lost.

This is baby cow in Izebellas nursery set. She does have furniture for the nursery but for some unknown reason only wanted cow baby inside it.

And cow baby asleep in her crib.

These are all such cute adorable and highly collectable figures. They can be purchased in most of the well known toy stores and of course from my favourite place – Amazon. Prices vary but expect to pay between £5-£10 for a baby pack and £12-£20 for a full family set.

Sylvanian families is suitable for children (and adults!) ages 3 and over.

Aquabeads meets Sylvanian families

Published September 13, 2016 by Bizzimummy

As you may already know we were recently chosen to review both Aquabeads and Sylvanian families, neither of which need much explanation as they are both very popular toys.

This time the two brands join together bringing us a Sylvanian Aquabeads kit.

This is just one of the many themed refill kits to be used with the beginners studio which Jordanna already has. It contains hundreds more beads and a few templates, all with images of Sylvanian families.

The biggest template being a large house which we have not yet attempted. Jordanna did make a few smaller bead designs.

She finds the larger designs more difficult as the beads are tiny and tend to end up in the wrong place. If she uses her fingers then the beads get sweaty and sticky. I have come to a conclusion that she may be doing it all wrong. She starts from the outside of the images and I think it would work better if she began bang in the middle instead.

Anyway she was very happy with more templates to use and many more beads to go with it.

This refill theme set can be purchased between £5-£10 at most good toy stores.

Sylvanian families forest nursery set

Published July 20, 2016 by Bizzimummy

Last Christmas Izebella got given a set of Sylvanian family cat characters. She has not played with them all that much as it was just the one family that she had and no play sets or accessories; until now that is.

I was contacted and asked to be part of the “friends of Sylvanian family group” this hopefully means that me and my children will be testing out a few Sylvanian families toys over the next few months.

Who are Sylvanian families?? Well they have been around since 1985, and have been loved by many people around the world. It is a nostalgic toy range that attracts people from different age groups.

The word Sylvan means ‘of the forest’ and the brand has three values at its heart: Nature, Love and Family.

Sylvanian families figures come as many animal species including cats, rabbits, hedgehogs, bears and squirrels, they are very cute and each one coming as a family of four (sometimes more)  or as twins and individual figures. There are of course many playsets and accessories too including homes, work places, villages, cars and lots more. A whole world of endless possibility to be collected and put together. The collection is pretty vast and new figures and toys are still being added.

We have been sent a Forest nursery set. The nursery building is already assembled and comes with many parts, desks, chairs, a piano plus cardboard pieces that we fold to make books and nursery toys. Also a large sticker sheet to decorate our nursery.

The stickers go on easy enough, the cardboard pieces can be a bit fiddly to join together as they are really small.

And all we need now are a cute Sylvanian family to come and visit the nursery!

        “Here they are!!”

Izebella finally has somewhere for her family to go and the nursery does not look as bare now. It even comes with its own swing.

Izebella loves Sylvanian families and was quite impressed with the new nursery. She enjoyed helping to put the stickers on too.

This set is one of many that will connect to other sets, meaning lots of ideas for Christmas buys. Forest nursery is available from most good toy stores and costs approximately £18.99.
