L.O.L #BFF valentines surprise

Published February 15, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and unfortunately the postman must have misplaced all my cards and flowers as none arrived. Sad I know but at least my girls got to celebrate with their BFF (best friends forever)

My girls got a lovely package full of L.O.L surprise balls. Each ball contains lots of layers of plastic wrap and underneath each layer is a little surprise with the final layer revealing a L.O.L doll.

The new series LOL’s are themed around little sisters and pets. The regular LOL dolls have five layers of surprise to unwrap.

There is also the brand new confetti pop LOL which contains 9 surprises inside and is bigger than the other LOL balls.

The idea, was to give their best friends a Lol doll and the included valentine card and that’s just what they did. We were sent a few LOL balls meaning both my girls and their friends all had one.

We even had a sleepover too!

Lol dolls can be purchased at most good toy stores.

Lingerie gifts from Hunkemoller

Published February 5, 2018 by Bizzimummy

It’s nearly Valentine’s Day and what better gift for us ladies than a nice piece of lingerie.

Hunkermoller UK have lots of glam and sexy pieces perfect for that special person in their Valentines collection.

This one piece really stood out for me.

It’s a stunning slip dress, available in six colours including a Valentine’s sexy red. I prefer the white myself, being angelic as I am. The white looks cute whilst still being sexy.

The arm straps are fully adjustable just like a bra and the length falls nicely just above the knee. I chose the small size which converts to an 8/10, there is one size smaller than this and a few larger sizes. I found the small size to be a perfect fit on myself. I was also really impressed with the quality of the material on the whole. This lace slip dress costs just £22.50 so I wasn’t expecting it to be so lovely.

Now this would not be a proper feature unless of course I showed you all what it actually looks like on myself, so here goes!

It was quite hard to get a half decent photograph of me wearing it as I’m having to take it myself, but yes it looks and feels great and I’m sure it will be one to spice up any Valentine’s Day.

Guylian for Valentines

Published January 29, 2018 by Bizzimummy

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s no wonder the shops are quickly filling with chocolates. If you have a loved one like myself then the bog standard every day chocs just won’t do! It has to be something that little bit more special, special like Guylian.

Guylian actually began with a bit of a love story. The name Guylian is a combination of two lovers – Guy and Lillian who created the first Guylian chocolates back in 1958.

Guylian is famous for their seashell shapes pralines which tastes delicious, creamy melt in the mouth praline covered with a marbles effect chocolate just like in this box.

In this “Sea shell” box, there are 22 individual chocolate sea shells, just perfect for a loved one on Valentine’s Day. The great thing about Guylian chocolates is that they come with the luxury appeal and same luxury chocolate taste but they don’t have the luxury price tag like many other simulate brands. This box only costs £6.75 and possibly less depending on where they are found.

The small heart shaped box contains 4 heart pralines. These hearts are very chunky and packed full of the same great flavour. There are only four to a box so perhaps this is best given as an additional gift.

This smaller box is sold for just one pound. So it may be worth getting a few as they are really nice.

Personally presented gifts

Published January 18, 2018 by Bizzimummy

Now that Christmas is well and truly done with, it’s probably no surprise to find that the shops are already filling with both Valentines and Mother’s Day cards and gifts. If you hate browsing shops or want something a little more personal then take a look at Personally Presented who have lots of unique gifts for both occasions.

Now I don’t have a partner so I don’t tend to do much for Valentine’s Day which is really sad I know, but I did think this mug was rather cute.

It’s not overpowering with mushy love and could even be given to a special friend or family member as well as a lover for Valentines. The personalisation is on the back and can be anything you want. In this case I kept it really simple.

And if your other half is worth more than a fancy cup then they have lots more Personalised Valentines gifts to suit most budgets. Items such as cute bears, watches, jewellery and much more.

As for Mothers’s Day, which for all you clueless men; falls on March 11th this year then you will also find many Personalised Mother’s Day gifs too. Us mother’s do a good all year round job so it’s nice to have a day where we get a little thank you gift for it. And this will certainly go down a treat on Mother’s Day.

Yes it’s a real full size bottle of Prosecco which happens to be one of my favourite tipples. Of course my children would not really be able to buy me this themselves as they are all under 18, but it’s a very nice touch with the added personalisation. I’ve not opened it yet, it’s being saved for a better occasion.

So this year make those special dates even more special with a gift from Personally Presented.

Custom cookies

Published February 9, 2016 by Bizzimummy

Everyone is used to chocolates and flowers for Valentine’s Day. This year I have received something a little different from the lovely people over at Custom cookie. This was a lovely box full of love and heart shaped cookies.

Each cookie is totally edible and delicious.

Now unfortunately they are not taking any more Valentine orders as they have just too many to get through. Tho never fear because they bake cookies all year round for any occasion including birthdays and of course Mother’s Day and Easter are just around the corner.

The cookies can be made in all shapes, sizes and designs and even with names on. They arrive in a lovely presentation box, all wrapped up like a gift.

They can be made for adults and children alike. Prices vary dependant on what you need. I really love the valentines cookies that we were sent and to be honest it’s probably the only Valentine gift I will be getting this year. Me and the three have been happily sharing them.

The box contained a lovely variety of big and small cookies and a few different flavours too. Each one individually iced. They make a lovely gift for anyone.

Visit Custom cookie for more details and lots of cookie images and videos.

Bratz #BFF Campaign

Published February 4, 2016 by Bizzimummy

This month Bratz is celebrating Valentine’s Day by reminding their BFFs how great they are and why they deserve a fabulous Valentine’s gift.
BFF stands for “Best friends forever”. I don’t think there’s any two girls that can be beater friends than two sisters and my girls love eachother to bit. Bratz asked us if wanted to take part in their campaign and as both my girls love their Bratz dolls, I knew they would be very happy too.

“The Bratz girls – Cloe, Jade, Yasmin, Sasha and Raya – love each of their best friends for all their quirky and individual qualities. The five besties bounce off each other’s personalities with Raya being the clown of the group, Sasha taking on the big sister role and Cloe keeping the girls giggling all day long.”

My two girls share a room, they share baths together and play together and do a lot of things together. They give each other hugs and kisses and although Jordanna has a few other friends, her sister will always be her number one friend. They may fall out with other friends but sisters always kiss and make up and that’s why they are best friends and sisters too.

As part of the campaign I was sent over two wrapped packages. I was told what was in them but my girls #BFF was not.

The gifts also came with best friend gift cards which could be wrote out to each other. Obviously I wrote Izebellas for her. They then exchanged their gifts to eachother which I got on video.

They then each opened their gifts to reveal a doll each from the new “Bratz remix” range and we have Jade and Yasmin.

These dolls are all about music and rocking it with style and each comes with headphones, toy iPod and fab outfits.

Both girls are very happy with their new dolls off eachother. This is Izebellas first Bratz doll, Jordanna has a few.

The new remix Bratz cost approximately £12.99 each and available in most good toy shops. I wish my #BFF would of give me a doll like this when I was little.

Say I love you with Swizzels

Published January 18, 2016 by Bizzimummy

Now that Christmas is well and truly behind us, the next big thing for “some” of us to look forward to is Valentine’s Day which of course falls on February 14th. I won’t be celebrating much on this day and the only people I’ll be saying I love you too are my children.

To make Valentines a bit more fun, Swizzels have bought out some new sweet products featuring their well known “Love heart” sweets. These sweets have been around for years. They are circular discs or sweet, tangy candy which all have hearts and messages on.

So I’m trying out two of the novelty love heart products.

There is the huge love hearts tube which is packed full of mini love hear packets which come in 3 separate bags. This tube costs just £3.00.

The retro mini tin comes as a special edition and is also heart shaped. It may well be wort keeping the tin for a good few years. It’s full of mini love hearts which come smaller than the normal ones.

 The tin costs just £1.99.
Both love heart products will be available to buy in most supermarkets and stores.

The Book of Everyone: Valentines edition

Published February 13, 2015 by Bizzimummy

The Book of Everyone is a unique one of a kind gift. It’s a glorious celebration of individuals of any age. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, and even Valentine’s Day.

My personal “Book of Everyone” comes as a special Valentines edition. It arrived yesterday but there is still time to send a digital version of the Valentines edition to a loved one for just £7.50.
The Book of Everyone is perfect for many other occasions.

Well my love life is very complicated at the moment and almost none existent so I did not really have anyone to make and give the book too. I had a quick browse of what the book would look like prior to creating one and I liked it so much that I just had to have one for myself. Yes very vain and a little selfish I know but if you see the book for yourself then you will understand what I mean.

First to the front cover which is hard backed with a choice of colours and of course I chose pink.

IMG_2316
The cover comes with the recipients name, in this case my own. Then the first page which is the gift/dedication page. As you can see here this book is from the 3 loves of my life – my children. In the case of lovers it would say something else. Any text can be inserted.

IMG_2317

After this the book gets really interesting with pages full of fine artwork and photography filled with unique text based on the recipients date of birth and age.

IMG_2358

Facts about my age (37), things what were happening in the world on the day I was born and the year in general.

IMG_2319
Star sign information, chinese symbol facts, a place to put a photograph and even who was at the top of the charts the day I was born.

IMG_2320
Oh my god I absolutely hate Rod Stewart. I wonder if that’s why? Was the song playing in the delivery room when I was making my way out?

This is interesting! Jordanna has a very similar one.

IMG_2323

The Valentine version comes with a few special love pages too. It’s a lovely unique book of facts about me. It’s printed in magazine type style with bold art work and lots of fun to each page. It’s the sort of book I will never get bored of reading. Ryan and Jordanna seem amazed by it too and have already asked if I can maybe make them one too.

Send hearts racing this Valentines, with the new Body Shop Collection

Published February 11, 2015 by Bizzimummy

Valentines day falls on a Saturday this year, meaning it's the perfect night for a night out or a candle lit dinner with that someone special. Just in time for the special day dedicated to lovers, The Body shop has unleashed its powerful, Euphoric scent of Smoky Poppy in a fabulous limited edition new collection of pamper products.

Smoky Poppy brings with it a warm and spicy floriental fragrance which when immersed in the aromas takes you to another place. Each one of the tempting products contains real Poppy seeds along with extract of oil rich Poppy's hand picked from Ankara Turkey.

There are 7 products in this collection in total starting from £4-£14 each and for those who are really stuck for choice, there is also a gift set with 3 products for £17.00.

Shower gel £4.00, Body Butter £5.00, Eau de Toilette £8.50, Bath Bombs £12.00, Body Lotion £8.00, Massage oil £14.00, Body Scrub £13.00.

I have chosen to review the Smoky Poppy bath bombs and the Body scrub

The Bath bombs come in a sturdy tube of 6. Each individual bath bomb is in the shape of a semi circle rather than a full round ball. They do look a little small to begin with and one may be mistaken to think they need more than one in the bath. But appearances can be deceptive and these are very powerful bath bombs indeed. It's almost like magic or a fun chemical reaction. To look at them they just look like regular small bath bombs with fancy black dots on them. These dots are in fact the poppy seeds and when one of these is dropped in water it immediately fizzes and turns a plain old bath into a dreamy milky spa filled with sensual poppy aromas and poppy seeds. The whole bath turned milky white using just one of these and the scent was just amazing. It's a shame I could not get a photograph of one in action but having my phone or camera anywhere near a tub full of water really is not the best idea. Trust me these are lovely.

The one slight drawback is that they do leave the empty bath full of black poppy seeds which seem to get everywhere. A quick couple of blasts of water along with a good clean seems to get rid of them tho.

The Smoky Poppy body scrub adds to the whole Smoky Poppy pamper experience. Again this stuff is infused full of poppy seeds. It's a lovely scrub with exfoliating properties and therefore designed to lift away those dead skin cells. It's perfect for using right before applying any sort of fake tan product. I enjoyed using this along with the bath bombs and was left feeling relaxed and refreshed afterwards. It gives the skin a lovely soft feeling too and I could smell the Smoky Poppy aromas all night long. The Smoky Poppy products leave md smelling like a dreamy goddess, ready for either a night on the tiles or a nice relaxing evening and the perfect nights sleep.

As well as the lovely Smoky Poppy pamper products, The Body Shop has also bought out a collection of lip and cheek velvet sticks. These come in many shades and cost £12.00 each.

One of these really caught my attention and I was very intrigued to see what it was all about. It is the Universal Lip & Cheek velvet stick.

This is a little bit of a mystery as it had no shade name on it, it's simply refereed to as “Universal”. The first thing I noticed about it is that it's a black/grey type colour to begin with and I actually thought that meant my cheeks and lips were about to be turned black, almost like a Halloween type product.

But no of course it doesn't turn my face black. It's a very clever little product which I'm sure most ladies will absolutely love. This actually adapts to the pH of the skin giving each user their own unique poppy shade. In my case the shade is a lovely pink/light purple shade which suits really well. Everyone's will be different. It's a great product.

Using this means I do not have to hunt around and try out different colours to see which suits. It is really unique and I'm still quite baffled to how it actual works.

All of the above mentioned products are now available in Body Shop stores which can usually be found in most high streets and town centres. The products can also be bought online at The Body Shop UK.

I have been a fan of Body Shop products for years. I used to love spending my bits of saved pocket money in the Body Shop sales. The products are made from natural ingredients and are not tested on animals. The price of the products certainly reflects the quality of them and I would be delighted if I was to receive Body shop products for a Valentines gift.

Give Godiva this Valentine’s Day

Published January 20, 2015 by Bizzimummy

Christmas and New year are unfortunately long gone now and the next big occasion is fast approaching. I am of course talking about Valentine’s Day. The day for lovers to exchange cards, gifts and even propose. Card shops are already full of cards with lovers on and it’s never too early to consider gifts for the one you love, no matter how big or small.

Godiva are a luxury brand of chocolates and the story and history of the Godiva company is inspired by the English legend itself – Lady Godiva. I have seen Godiva chocolates in up market stores such as Selfridges and they can also be purchased from their online store. These are not the type of day to day standard chocolates that one can find in the supermarkets. These are very special chocolates indeed.

Now as many of my readers will already know, I love my chocolate and love trying all sorts of different ones. The more luxurious the better. Godiva sent me over some of their Valentine chocolates which I was more than happy to sample.

2015/01/img_1903.jpg
These are the Heart Shaped Truffle Biscuits costing £7.00. The pack contains 12 biscuits and they are really hard to put down once the first one is eaten.
The rich golden heart shaped biscuit is topped with a dark chocolate truffle heart making each bite a mixture of sweet crunch and rich chocolate indulgence. Probably the best biscuit I have tasted, just divine.

2015/01/img_1782.jpg
The biscuit packet is even wrapped in gold foil giving it the extra touch of class.

2015/01/img_1905.jpg
Then there is this dainty heart shaped box. Inside are 6 love inspired chocolates. This being the Valentine Sweetheart Chocolate box costing £15.00.

2015/01/img_1904.jpg
I was not really expecting much from just 6 chocolates and I’m sure many will agree that £15.00 is a lot of money for just these chocolates. They are amazingly good quality both in taste and appearance. Each chocolate is pretty big in size, very thick and bursting with flavour.

2015/01/img_1784.jpg
It’s quite rare to find chocolates this size which taste so good. I enjoyed them all and found there was none that I did not particularly enjoy which is usually the case with boxes of chocolates.

2015/01/img_1783-0.jpg

I really enjoyed my Godiva selections and have to admit that I did not share mine with anyone, they just tasted too good I’m afraid.
To buy both of these together would come to £22.00 which is quite a considerable cost for just chocolates alone. They are however luxurious and delicious and I am sure anyone who receives these for Valentine’s Day would be very appreciative.
